Arrival at Marseille Provence Airport

To get to the Pharo Palace:

  • ● Taxi: €70 to €100 (average price depending on traffic, time, and public holidays)
  • ● Shuttle: This bus runs between the airport and Gare St Charles
    every 15 minutes from 4:50 to 00:10. €10 one-way and €16 round trip

Where to take the shuttle: Walk to the end of Terminal 1 (see map below)

Buy a ticket at the booth and board the bus. The transfer takes about 25 minutes from the airport to Marseille station.

Arrival at “Gare St Charles”

To reach the Pharo Palace:

  • ● Taxi: Follow the “Taxi/Metro” sign (at the bottom of the escalators)
  • ● Public transport (RTM): Follow the “Metro” sign (go down two floors using the two escalators).
    The metro runs from 5:00 AM to 12:30 AM.
  • ● Tickets: Buy a single ticket or a pass at the machine located at the bottom left of the second escalator.
    Price: €1.70/ticket or a 24H/72H pass: €5.20 / €10.80

Metro Line 1 (Blue), Direction “La Fourragère”

  • ● Get off at the second stop: “Vieux Port Hôtel de Ville”.
  • ● Follow the sign “Exit Vieux Port”.
  • ● To reach the Palais du Pharo:
    • – Walk to Pharo (10 minutes) along the quay (left quay when facing the sea).
    • – Or take bus 82 near the long building and get off at the stop “Pharo Catalan”.
